There were no instructions with the unit. I tried for 1/2 hour to get the unit working but only got local FM stations. Then I turned it on to try one last time and the TV sound came in!! ---- The company emailed the instructions and I found which buttons to push. There seemed to be a "burn in" time because the reception was only fair at first, but after some use, it became much better. Occasionally it cuts out and has to be reset. This may be from interference in the room from the new flourscent light bulbs, computer, and router. For the price, the unit turned out much better than I expected.

I was very excited to get a wireless set for Christmas. I was constantly getting the cord tangled and the phones pulled off my head. Free at last I thought.
First, there is no AC adaptor so operation is dependent on AAA batteries.
After about an hour of fiddling with the various controls, I was able to get the headphones to pick up and transmit from the radio by my desk. In order to obtain a volume level that is equivalent to a loud whisper I have to turn the volume on both the radio and on the headset to maximum. This picks up a lot of static. Once you walk out of range, about 20 ft, the signal is lost and it reverts to ear piercing static. Walk back to the transmitter and put the phones right next to the transmitter to re-acqure the signal
I don't care what the other five functions are, though the FM radio tuner seems to be the dominant and continually emerging feature, these are going back ASAP. Steer clear of this and spend another twenty bucks instead of...Read more

After reading about FM wireless earphones on other reviews, I decide to give this a shot. It cost less, but have to pay the price of losing reception and low/poor volume. Anyway, this is my first wireless earphone and have to say that it's not bad for the money. If you don't mind having to reset and scan everytime you move around, then, this equipment is for you. Just a side note, I think I'll be giving IR earphone a try next.
