Summary: A Major Disappointment 2008-11-17
Comment: Buyers Beware! Major quality and support issues.
The Good:
AR has always made some of the best headphone drivers and this is no exception. Clear sound, both high and low frequencies. Comfortable to wear. No hiss when signal is lost.
The Bad:
I expected the 2.4 GHz to reach farther but I barely was able to go 20 feet before I lost the signal. Never got anywhere near 100 feet. Then, after 1 year and 4 DAYS (!), the left earpiece broke loose. A small critical post that was made of cheap plastic broke. After contacting AR/Audiovox (parent company), I was told that they would not fix it in warranty since I was 4 days past its end. 4 Days! Most other companies honor they products and don't hesitate to fix something that close to the warranty end. Obvious, Audiovox doesn't care much since they offer a shorter 1 year warranty (most others offer 2-3 years) and wouldn't work with me to take care of the problem.
While I liked the sound, I am now in the market for new wireless headphones that I can count on like Sennheiser or Pioneer. I recommend you do the same.
