Easy setup and sound quality very good. Recharging the headphones is difficult especially if you have the transmitter hidden in a tight place.

I hooked my unit up to my iMac. When editing music or playing my guitar to the music in my wired headphones, the wires always got in the way. After researching several units on Amazon I settled on these and am very happy with the choice.
The headphones are "on ear" not "over ear." They are not noise cancelling headphones. The headphones have very good bass and tonal range. They are comfortable for long periods of listening but this is probably subjective on my part; other ears may be more sensitive. The headphones are light. When playing my guiar to the music in the headphones I can easily hear the guitar as well as the music.
The rechargeable batteries included did not take a charge (after 8 hours) so I used standard AAAs.
The instructions for linking the base unit to the headphones need some editing.

THIS IS MY SECOND SET OF ACOUSTIC RESEARCH HEADPHONES.THE FIRST SET WAS BETTER THAN THESE IN HOW IT FITS OVER THE EARS, BUT THE TRANSMISSION QUALITY OVER THE AIR IS MUCH BETTER WITH THE AWD-205. THE SIGNAL DOESN'T FADE FOR THE SAME DISTANCE FROM THE TRANSMITTER, AND INTERFERENCE FROM OTHER SOURCES SEEMS TO BE NON-EXISTENT. I DON'T LIKE THE FIT ON THE HEAD AS WELL, THE PREVIOUS SET HAD DIFFERENT SWIVEL POINTS WHICH MADE FOR A MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE FIT, AND THE PREVIOUS SET HAD A COMBINED TRANSMITTER AND HEADPHONE CRADLE/BATTERY CHARGER; WITH THIS SET, THE HEADPHONE EARPIECES FOLD UP. AND THE PHONES MUST BE LEFT TO LIE AROUND ON SOME SURFACE NEAR THE TRANSMITTER WITHIN REACH OF A SUPER-SHORT CHARGING CABLE THAT MUST BE PLUGGED IN TO THE COMBINED CHARGER/TRANSMITTER. OVERALL, THE SOUND QUALITY OF THIS SET IS COMPARABLE TO MY OLD SET.
