Summary: Not what I was looking for 2010-09-03
Comment: Sound quality is ok, but it failed the one test I wanted it to pass. Namely, staying in my ears while running, even on humid or sweaty runs. Sadly, these headphones popped out. I promptly returned them. I bought the around-the-neck version and have used them with much greater success.
Sound quality on these was good, though definitely not spectacular. Overall, not that impressed.

Summary: Best Headphones For Active Users Sub $100 2010-09-02
Comment: Without a doubt these are some of the best headphones I have ever owned. I have bought everything from Sony's, V-Moda, Shure, and Ultimate Ears. These are the only damn headphones that actually stay in my ear when I go for a run, bike ride, or even at the gym. It's hands down simply the best I have used. I use them every single day because on top of all of this they are super comfortable and doesn't stretch my ear too much when I put them in. It was a almost perfect fit from the get go. The cord length is perfect for armbands but when doing power lifting of any kind I simply put the cord under my shirt while also using the clip that comes along with it to reduce cord movement or snag and place my iPod or phone in my short's pocket. I've never used a better headphone for my active lifestyle of biking to and from school and gym, going to the gym, going for runs, and simply using them in public transit on my way to work.

Only thing is they aren't the richest sound you'll find out there but they don't cost enough to really qualify as higher end headphones. What you're buying at this price range is German engineering at it's best and most efficient for the offering. You get a very reasonable sound quality and build construction designed and priced for those who are active everyday and just need something that is Sennheiser reliable sound wise to get you through a workout without being annoyed at the lowest end of headphones while being Adidas designed so when you're being active you have options to change cord length while also knowing that your headphones aren't going to fall out while you're maybe speeding downhill on your road bike and trying to corner a turn without your earbuds dropping into your spokes or when you're doing Cleans for lifting and everytime you pop up before you lift it overhead you get that...it's slipping out of my ear sensation that drives you absolutely nuts. O wait just me? I'd like not to think so otherwise these wouldn't have been made and marketed.

P.S. The color is awesome too

Summary: Love/Hate relationship with these so far 2010-09-01
Comment: I had been searching for a long time for earbuds that wont pop out of my ear due to my excessive sweat while I run. All the other models would get clogged and the sound deteriorate quickly and I'd have to run while constantly pushing them back in my ears- not great for focusing on the run.

I think these have made a major improvement for me as they have great sound and were locked into place no matter how much I sweat- but one caveat -the damned 5 pound inline volume control!

No matter how I try I can't seem to stop the darn thing from bouncing up and down and yanking the earbud out slightly and thus constantly breaking the nice sweat-proof seal- it even causes the fin to pop out. No matter where i clip it, on my shorts or shirt it just keeps tugging on the earbud. I've taken to just holding the thing in my hand which bugs me. I dislike arm-band style ipod carriers, so I'm going to try to figure out a work around to keeping the thing in place. Maybe I'll wrap it around my head like a turban or shove it in my ballcap.

Another gripe is the length of the cord- there must be some 6'6" Germans they tested on as the cord is incredibly long and I'm 6'0 so you would think it would be ok for someone my height.

Overall, if you can find a comfortable way to attach it to your body and not have the volume control bounce them out of your head, these are great sport earbuds.

Summary: Stay in place 2010-08-25
Comment: These things sound decent enough for workout music but most importantly, they stay in place for the entire workout. I like them very much. They are comfortable and functional.

Summary: Good work out headphone. 2010-08-23
Comment: bought these headphones two months ago and they have been great. I have a set of vmoda in ears that I no longer wanted to run with. The sound quality of the CX 680 are very good I actually prefer them to my vmoda's (to much bass). I run with these headphones and when paired with the correct fins they have never fallen out. I recommend trying out the different sizes to see what works best. I normally wear the smallest of everything with typical headphones, however with these the medium fins actually work the best. I would strongly recommend to any runner looking for a new set of headphones.
