After my V-moda's did not survived sitting on the connector during a longhaul flight, I was looking for a replacement set of in-ear buds with mic and iPhone controls. Could not decide for some time between the Marshall's Minor, Klipsch Image S4i and this one. Finally, after almost memorizing the technical specs I took the opportunity of a sale and acquired the AKG K350. based on the specs, the frequency and dynamic range, they are supposed to be excellent. The buds are nice, having a futuristic look, but can probably not compare to the design of the Marschall's or Jays 4. The cable is rubber based, which I do not like too much, thought it seems not to muddle up like the Apple standard buds. V-moda's as well as Marschall's do have a textile outer layer which does the job better though.
I have compared the sound to the Apple standards and Koss PortaPro, which I use at home. Based on the specs, the AKG is supposed to produce better low range even when comparing to Koss, however this...Read more

The ear buds with microphone work well and allow me to use my iPhone4S hands off for longer conference calling. Unlike the ear buds and microphone provided by Apple, this set of ear buds actually fit well.
