They are actually more neutral and accurate than my $100 Grado SR-80s! Amazing. Unlike the Grados which are big and heavy, I can wear these for hours without my ear lobes getting sore. I wear these when working in front of my computer and at the gym when lifting weights. Not sure how they would hold up to vigorous activity like jogging...I would be a bit concerned about them slipping off and also about sweat getting into the ports at the top. PS. AKG, like Sennheiser and Grado, are true high-fidelity headphones. I didn't want in the canal or over the ear. For this type no brand I tried was able to do any better than the phones that came with my MP3 player. These are better than any I have ever put in my ears. I haven't been able to overdrive them. They can do far more than my ears can handle. Bass is punchy but not muddy. The highs are crisp and clear. I looked on AKGs personal products web page and was surprised that they have two more (317 and 319) that are supposed to be even better. I find that hard to believe. If you use MP3s do yourself a favor and get a program that normalizes the volume between the songs. Till i did that some songs would nearly break my eardrums and others were nearly inaudible. 4 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: AKG K 315 In-Ear Bud Headphone - Pebble Black (Electronics) These ear buds are good for some and not so good for others. For people who like this style, verses the in-ear style, this is a godsend as the bass response on these things will blow you away. I love em personally. However, they are not the best as the higher responses are a bit off but unless you are an audiophile you won't be able to tell the difference. Love'em! |
