For me there are not many options when it comes to third party ipod ear sets. I hate the feeling of "canal" earphones because they never fit quite right in my ear. Even when they do, I am not comfortable walking along the road with all ambient noise blocked out. That leaves me with the "in-ear" headsets as my only option. Sadly, I am usually very disappointed with the sound quality. Then I heard of these and decided to splurge. The first week, I honestly thought I made a great investment. Then things started going wrong. First the rubber ring popped off from the right ear plug. I was able to compensate by using the foam ear pad but it muffled the sound somewhat. Then the ring popped off the left one forcing me to use the second foam cover. I went from great sound to good sound and I now have to keep my fingers crossed that I do not lose the foam covers because once they are gone, the phones will no longer fit in my ear.
