Product Review

The K 324 P has been inspired by technology used in AKG's award- winning professional in-ear monitoring systems; which are used by famous musicians around the world. AKG' flagship K 324 P in-ear model, offers high-quality, full-spectrum sound, reproducing the deepest bass with attitude and the highest highs with ease. The design of the K 324 P provides a high level of acoustic attenuation of ambient noise, which means you can enjoy your music in more detail. The ergonomic design allows for personal comfort and fit through a choice of 3 sleeve sizes, which results in hours of music enjoyment without fatigue or discomfort. The minimalist design will appeal just as much to your eyes as to your ears, with a choice of cool white or chrome.

I have owned a lot of in-ear headphones: Shure E3, Shure E2, Bose Tri-Port, KOSS The Plug and a few cheaper models. To be honest, all of the in-ear headphones I've owned have been a compromise and I have found something not to like about each of them. Probably the most accurate are the Shure E3's but some times their lack of bass, makes me want to get rid of them. I am not a "bass hound" by any means. In fact, I think the Bose Tri-Port are too bassy.

I own a pair of over the ear AKG 240's that I've used for about 10 years and I like the way they sound. So I decided to give these AKG earbuds a try.

They aren't bad. They aren't as transparent as the E3's, but they have a nice tight bass that isn't over powering, and a somewhat pronounced treble. I find that I can run these on my iPod with the EQ off or sometimes in the Treble Reducer position.

The K324's do a decent job of sealing out outside noise. Not as good as the E3's or E2's, but better the...Read more

After practically making a fetish out of collecting audiophile earphones over the past year, I'm becoming increasingly fastidious as well as intolerant of overpriced, over-rated entries. You can easily spend close to a hundred, and even more, for phones made of exotic teak, outfitted with eartips of every design and material, even adaptable to different tunings through the insertion of small metal pieces--and still end up with a pair that sounds no better than the five dollar Coby earphones that are deservedly popular on Amazon.

These AKG K 324 P earphones are all the more disappointing because, besides a good price, I assumed I couldn't miss with phones made by Harmon International (JBL is their best-known brand). The phones were new, attractively packaged, came with three sets of different-sized tips as well as a cute cylindrical case for carrying them, and the earpieces themselves are unquestionably among the lightest and smallest available--perhaps a point in their...Read more

These headphones are really nice. They have nice crisp highs and decent mids though not the best bass. Theres just one problem. They keep breaking. I'm on my third pair already in a two year span. The headphones seem to have a short in which you will really have to blast the music to get any kind of sound at all. They work well for a while but then this short will cut in and i'll return it. I have to admit though the AKG customer service is outstanding - I got new ones with no problem under the warranty both times. So just be warned idk if its just my bad luck or what but this is a reoccurring problem.
