AKG K 141 MK II Headphones

I was first exposed to these headphones about 18 years ago while doing some session work in a handful of different pro recording studios in New York City. Since then, I cannot recall ever seeing any other type of headphone in any studio I have been in. I have also been using these phones in my own home studio, and am still using the same pair I bought about 15 years ago! They have not been out of service for one minute during that time, although they definitely look like they have taken a beating! This should speak volumes regarding their reliability and quality of manufacture.

The sound is every bit as good as the reliability. They can be worn for long periods of time comfortably, and without listening fatigue. The bass response is full and well-defined, the mids are clear and the highs are crisp without any overt raspiness in their character. This headphones rules. Use them for monitoring your tracks in your mixer, you'll hear every subtle detail of the instrument being tracked or the partial mix (It helps you a lot when you're detecting little noises)If you, like me, can't afford the price of two monitor speakers try this headphones and use them wisely.

One more thing, yesterday I used the AKG to hear one of my jazz CDs and... it's amazing, I heard the vibration of the acoustic bass and the subtle hit of the brush drumsticks. If you're looking for a great studio headphone without expending more than 100 bucks, this is your choice.

Tengo unos K-141 desde 1980 y han resultado verdaderos todo terreno, su calidad es incuestionable. En cuanto al sonido su comportamiento es superlativo (por algo son los audífonos mas usados en los estudios de grabación de todo el mundo, principalmente en USA)con unos medios y altos bien definidos, sin coloraciones y unos bajos bien manejados, con una ligerísima caida en el rango de los 40-60Hz, pero nada que desmeriten su desempeño, por lo que me siento orgulloso en poseerlos. Los recomiendo ampliamente.

I have a K-141 since 1980 and found true all-terrain, its quality is unquestionable. As for the sound is superlative behavior (for some are more hearing aids used in recording studios around the world, mainly in USA) with a well defined mids and highs, colorless and well-managed bass with a very slight fall in the range 40-60Hz, but nothing as diminishing their performance, so I feel proud to possess. I strongly recommend.
