I only rate these at 4 stars if they're plugged into my laptop, 4.5 when using SRS HD Audio Lab. However, when paired to a NuForce Icon HD, these things come totally to life with amazing clarity everywhere, perfect bass (instead of the weak bass these are known for), and so much more strength and dimension to the music. 5 Stars! Absolutely the best deal for the money!
I just wish they wouldn't bug my upper ears as quickly as they do.
To sum it up, when people say good equipment helps you hear stuff you never knew was there, they ain't lying. I was blown away at how many sounds artists and producers put into their tracks to fill out the song.
