I bought some of these to use with my Phone. A few days later my brother bought Klipsch Image S4's thus giving me the chance to compare both. Thoughts: At first, listening on my phone, I preferred the S4's - they accentuated the highs more, fitted better and had great bass. They also had a wider sound stage. However having switched to listening to high quality flac files through my headphone amp, I thought the akg seemed to have a better balanced sound. Everything was more integrated is how I felt - I just enjoyed listening to them more. It seemed like they were the best pair of headphones i have ever owned but then after two months the headphones became unbalanced and the left one became slightly louder than the right. And THEN the bass starts contorting even when i don't have bass booster on in my ipod! Oh and they weren't the best fitting in-ear headphones I've ever had All in all not worth for the price AT ALL |
