9 of 9 people found the following review helpful: By A Customer This review is from: Altec Lansing AHP212 Behind-the-neck Headphones (Electronics) My Sony behind the ear headphones were getting quite worn, so I was checking out replacement headphones and came across these Altec Lansing headphones for the same price as the Sony headphones.The Sony headphones would hurt the inner side of my ear, from the clamp holding them into place, so I was wanting to try something new. (I listen to music on my MP3 player about 4 hours a day while at work.) These headphones come with a volume control on the cord, which makes it great when someone visits my desk or in times when things get loud in the office. I can turn up or turn down the volume without having to reach to my MP3 player. So far, these headphones are more comfortable than the Sony headphones. The sound of the headphones is really amazing as well. I believe they outperform the Sony headphones. The cable is not that long, so consider getting a headphone extension cord to provide enough distance when using the headphones at work. I already own a set of Altec Lansing PC speakers so I decided to buy these when I saw them. I am not at all dissapointed. The wires got tugged on JUST a little...and snap...the headphones became inoperable.
On the sound side, they were decent, although I would have preffered more bass amplification. If you haven't had the luxury of listening through high end headphones, you will not notice any difference. The earpieces were also movable, making it a snug fit for people like me, who wear eye-glasses. |
