Audio Technica ATH-FC700A Portable Headphones with 40mm Neodymium Drivers, White

I tend to go through headphones in a matter of months so this time I was looking for a pair that would stand up to the "rugged" life of a college student but still provide me the sound quality I've grown accustomed to. Also comfort was a big priority: I like to wear headphones just to tone down ambient noise when walking, studying - pretty much all throughout my day. So I can't deal with a pair that clamps down on the pinnae too tightly. In all of these respects the ATH-FC700A was the right choice.

The cushions of this pair are rather plush and the headband adjusts to fit snugly, but not tightly. I usually go through headphones in a matter of months, and I don't mean six months, I mean two or three months. My school doesn't allow iPods, but I love listening to music on the bus, so before walking into school every day I have to quickly jam my headphones into my bag, under or in-between folders and books and binders, so yeah, my headphones tend to break pretty quickly. These, however, lasted two years. Unfortunately, one of the wires must have frayed, since the sound started cutting in and out (something that happens with all headphones, not dependent on the quality). I ordered another pair pretty much immediately, and they came in about a month and a half ago (which was about a month before the estimated delivery date, I was very impressed with the shipping speed). I use my headphones pretty much 24/7, and yes, these are the headphones I fell in love with.

i have really likes audio technica for a long time. great prices, and great sound. so when i saw these guys, i thought cool, a little set of travel headphones. they are pretty comfortable for being on ear, i would much rather have over ear, but that doesnt take away from this ones rating because i knew i was getting on ear. they do squeeze your head a bit (or maybe i have a big head, but i have read simular reviews)my only real gripe about these are they pull my hair for some reason.pretty much every time i move them or pull them off they pull my hair. on the sound side though, they sound amazing. if you are an audio buff on a budget get a set of audio technicas. you will hear stuff on songs and movies you never even knew was there.
