Comment: I bought these headphones after strongly debating over these and the studio editions. Well these have just as good a sound quality as the studios, have a sturdier build, and are smaller and more compact. The ipod playback is a HUGE plus. they look stylish and feel even better. While the studios are noise cancelling, they require batteries, and the price of that adds to the 300 dollar studio price tag. These are not noise canceling but are noise dampening, like the bose over the ear headphones and you only hear a slight hum in the backround. the bass is better than expected, too. if you are wondering if they are worth 200 bucks, i would suggest trying them. I think monster could definatly sell these for $40 cheaper but they dont. but i would recommend them if you want to hear your music at its best.

Comment: Great looks and very nice sound, but the quality is disappointing. The headphones broke after just three weeks of use! They actually snapped like a twig while I was trying to put them on, I couldn't believe it! Unacceptable for a $200+ pair of headphones.

Comment: The headphones broke within 2 weeks. The top support was not strong enough and cracked in half when I was simply putting them on.

Comment: I received a pair as a gift. Within two weeks they snapped in two. I have a friend who also recently got a pair and his snapped in a short time also. They should be recalled.

Comment: Let me preface this by saying, I loved these headphones for the month I had them.
With that said, both the headphone-end of the cable and the headband broke within a month's use.
Kind of sucks, when you've wasted almost $200 of Christmas money, but no big loss.
