Summary: Motorola is the PITS 2008-02-14
Comment: Same like the others, I bought this thing in a package deal with a set of Motorola HT820 headphones. The salesperson at CompUSA was majorly enthused about them, so I bought them and took them home, and guess what there is no support for VISTA. The driver can be made to install, but it uses the headset profile rather than the stereo headphones profile, which means the audio is miserable, not at all what you'd expect from a $90 set of headphones. The tragedy is that CompUSA is shutting down (probably from selling too much MOTOROLA stuff) and does not accept returns. So I am stuck. What makes it worse is the horrible Motorola customer service, when I complained they told me they have no solution so that means "your problem is SOLVED!" (their emphasis). Well if the headphones have to go into the garbage, so does the reputation of Motorola. Take heed: if it says Motorola on it, walk in the opposite direction. You are literally better off buying a junky generic bluetooth dongle than the Motorola one!
I am not kidding about it!

Summary: Does not work with Vista 2008-01-11
Comment: This PC850 bluetooth adapter has no support for Vista (no 32-bit or 64-bit support). It simply does not work, at all, period. I cannot find any mention of any future plans to support Vista. Attempting to install the drivers on Vista resulted in many, many, many prompts to allow the uncertified drivers to install. After intallation, inserting the device into a USB port causes Vista to start a new hardware driver installation wizard. Eventually, it exhausts all possibilities and says that it cannot find a solution. Checking Motorola's website, they have updated 32-bit drivers, but I cannot find any updated 64-bit drivers. However, their website says explicitely in the FAQ that this device is not compatible with Vista. Save yourself the money and trouble and buy something else.

Summary: PROBABLY A GREAT PRODUCT BUT.... 2007-12-08
Comment: This is probably a great product but I realized after it finally got to my house and I ripped open the packaging that it doesn't work with WINDOWS VISTA. Motorola has announced it is releasing a new bluetooth adapter with Windows Vista support rather than updating the software for this particular model (PC850). So if you have windows VISTA heed my warning, save yourself the time and the money and get a different model or brand and make sure it is compatible (on the products webpage) before you purchase any product.

Summary: First one that worked 2007-09-08
Comment: I had gone thru several bluetooth adapters trying to get my Motorola S9 headset paired with my computer. On all the other I stuggled for over 3 hours each. This one recognized and pair easily.
