These headphones are floating on e-retail sites at prices ranging from $35 to over $200. IMHO, they are worth the $35 that I paid (no tax, free shipping), but they are not on par with even the moderate level brand name products. I have an older set of Sennheiser phones that charge on a cradle and feel and look substantial. The Compucessory S59226 function well so far (decent range and signal), but they have a toy like quality to them. The instructions advised that the NMH batteries be charged for 24 hours before use. I tried to use them after 12 hours of charge and the headphones wouldn't work so I resorted to Alkaline AAA's...works fine. The charger/transmitter is small and unobtrusive but the center button is sensitive to being pushed down too hard...(again, lacks in the feeling of substance and durability). I know most people check out 1, and maybe 2, star reviews but not 5 star; personally I rarely check 5 star reviews. But I thought I would write a detailed review regardless, just in case someone is interested.

This review provides exclusive feedback on the functionality of the product and not the reliability as I got it only two days ago. If it breaks down in less than a year from now, I will update the review. I paid $30 for it and consider 1 year is pretty good for this price for a product of this kind. Please note that I'm writing this review keeping in mind that this is a $30 product.

Look and Feel:

The transmitter looks pretty neat. It is small (about 3"x4") and simple with just one button on the top for changing channel. A tiny red LED indicates if it is ON or not. The headphones may be cheap plastic, but my thought was "what do the headphones SOUND like?" After all, that's why I'm purchasing them (for sound quality). I am amazed at the excellent sound quality of these headphones. On the down side: I can only walk about 40' range and not the 65' they claim, but for the price, I am very satisfied.
