Coby CVE51GRN Jammerz Sound Isolating Earphones (Green)

These earphones are great for those of us who can't be trusted with expensive earphones. I used to invest in the premium brands, only to be horrified when they were stepped on, lost, pulled apart, or eaten by my cat. This product gets the job done, but longevity is certainly not the goal. But at this price, you can afford to buy a new pair every month!

These aren't the best headphones out there, in fact they are not even close. But considering their price ($3 when I bought them, they might go up and down) they are good headphones. I've been using them for about a month and they still work. For $3 that's about all I can ask. I'm not an expert on sound quality so I can't really comment, except to say that to me they sound fine (not excellent but fine). It takes a little bit to get them in my ears just right so they actually stay in (this might be different for you). I do notice that compared to my original headphones (the standard Apple ones that come with the iPods) this does isolate outside sounds. I like this, because I don't like to have to crank up the volume of my music to hear it over other noises at my work. I should note that so far I have only plugged these into my computer and listened to music that way. I also bought two other Coby earphones, received only one other so far. Comparing these earphones to CVEM76, the latter is way much better. The sound on these seem more quiet than the CVEM76. Maybe it has to do with the price. But these earphones are pretty decent.
