Comfortable, but not for long haul,

Bought at CLT and tried on a 2 hour flight. Sound reproduction is reasonable. Could not reproduce true highs and lows. Have a Sony MDR headphones which are superior compared to this Brookstone. Noise cancellation is good when background noise is consistent and with music playing. One of the best in the market with all functions -- has volume control, mute and capability to play without NC; battery life is best in the market. For the price and functionality beats the much hyped Bose 15 hands down. Circular headphones are uncomfortable after 2 hours. Well made and has all pins and plugs to go (for Bose 15, it looks like you have to shell out extra to get some of the connectors). Suggest that you seriously look at it if in the market for a NC headset at a reasonable price!
Excellent build quality, great presentation, great for airplanes - but,

I found the build quality to be excellent on the headphones. It stows away into a very tidy case which is included. The volume control box takes a single AAA battery which I assume acts as an in-line amplifier. Also included is a 2 to 1 converter - and oddly, a 1 into 2 (1 female into 2 males). Overall it's a nice presentation. However, the audio quality is pretty poor. I found the headphones to be very flat. They do produce decent lows, which is commendable, but it seems there is no high's at all. Everything sounds distant and muddy. I tried correcting with an EQ but it's still very noticable. My cheap $40 HD212 Pro Sennheisers annihilate the Brookstones in audio quality. That is pretty disappointing. Overall they are comfortable, portable, and not obtrusive when moving about. However at least on my set the audio quality is disappointing.
