This review is from: Comply Tx-500 Foam Tips (Black) 3-Pair Pack Medium size (Electronics)
I bought the Comply Tx-500 foam tips to use with my Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Pro earphones. This is the model Comply's web site indicated fitted my phones and it was correct. Before ordering, I suggest you visit Comply's site and use their selector tool to identify the tip model right for you.
I've never had much luck with the silicone tips that come with in-ear phones, and the foam cylinders UE included, which worked ok for me, have deteriorated, so I was on the lookout for a good replacement. The Tx-500 is comfortable and the outer surface being smooth means that it won't fill up with dirt too quickly.
If you order this set from Amazon, you get the medium size, which "fits most". It is also available from Comply's web site in small and large, and in a set with one pair in each size. My ear canals are, I guess, a bit on the small side. The mediums work but next time I'll try small to see if that's better.
I was very impressed with the sound...Read more

These things are the THE accessory I've always wanted but couldn't find until recently. I've owned Shure e5c in-ear monitors and currently use a set of Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 Pros. While both sets of IEMs sound great neither has ever been comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time. Since I fly a lot, the ability to wear them for extended periods is important to me. While I've tried all the options that were available, none of the existing silicone or foam tips were ever comfortable for more than a couple of hours before serious discomfort set in. I could always get a good seal with the stock tips, but was never able to wear them for long.
The Comply Foam tips are perfect. I ALWAYS get a perfect seal and I've just gotten back form a trip where I was able to wear my UE Super.fi's for 5 hours straight and pretty much forget that they are on.
If you use in ear monitors you have to get these. Don't think twice. They are WELL worth the price and will...Read more

These tips split, rip and become unusable far to quickly for what they cost. Read the 1 star and the 3 star reviews on Amazon before buying. I am in complete agreement with their comments.
The manufacturer states - "This unique breathable memory foam is activated by your body heat, becoming ultra soft". Yes, they do become ultra soft. This is the downfall. They become too soft.
I use my TripleFi 10 earphones at least 3-5 hours a day during work, taking them in and out of my ears several times throughout the day when co-workers come into my office.
My experience with these tips is that once they get warm and ultra soft, the warm foam rips and separates quite easily after just a few days of regular use.
On a positive note - the wax guard works as described and I found no sound difference using these wax guard tips in comparison to traditional tips. They are very comfortable to wear and will not irritate your ear canal, even after several...Read more
