Summary: Great sound, includes miniplug transmitter 2008-02-09
Comment: I work in a personal training studio, so I bought these to (1) lose the wire that always ends up snagging when running on the treadmill and (2) to walk around the gym and play from my PC's library.
These may well be the best headphones for the first purpose. This package INCLUDES a bluetooth transmitter with a miniplug, meaning you can connect it to anything that uses headphones--including cell phones and large headphone jacks on a stereo receiver (both the headphones and the transmitter are rechargeable w/ batteries from a single A/C adaptor).
As far as walking around a large space (around 4000 square ft. with weight machines everywhere), the interference is frustrating. But this is true of any bluetooth device, and if there's no interference I can get it almost 20 feet away it times.
My favorite aspect is the complete control system: Power, volume, pause, play, skip back and skip forward. The manufacturer says the skip, pause, and play controls sometimes work with the included transmitter when you have a player that can be controlled through the miniplug. For what it's worth, this was not so with my 4G iPod, but there may be a few out there--such as with other MP3 players with controls on the headphone wire.
One negative issue for some may be discomfort during long listening. Although this is predictable for headsets with plastic arm behind the neck, they hurt a little when I wear them any longer than about 3 hours. The plastic presses in and gives me a headache. I found that turning them upside-down at this point, however, makes it easier.
I also had a compatibility issue with my Dell integrated bluetooth Inspiron 1520 (Only with the playback controls, though. The sound and volume still worked beautifully). I'll try installing some new drivers and update this post if it works better, but at that time it didn't work with either iTunes or Windows Media Player on the Inspiron. It did work on a friend's tablet PC, however, so I know the controls are meant to work with your computer's bluetooth (I haven't tested this on a Mac to see if it works).
All things considered, if I can fix my bluetooth adaptor, I'll be happy because these are probably the best-sounding bluetooth headphones I've ever used.
