This review is from: Denon AH-C260R Mobile Elite In-Ear Headphones with 3-Button Remote and Microphone (Black) (Electronics) I'm replacing a paid of V-Moda that haven't stood the test of time, and the Denon headphones are a very good choice in this price range. They would probably compete reasonably against much more expensive choices. The audio quality is very good with solid bass response and respectable clarity at higher volumes, and there is no real cord noise or "stethoscope" problems, though I will mention that the cord material seems like the cheapest part of these headphones. I prefer the nylon wrapped feel, but if that's what was making the cord noise, I suppose it's best to skip that. The "Y" shape is pleasant (versus the weird lopsided tailoring of the Sony and others) and the 3 button controller works well, with solid clicking, and is at the fork of the "Y". This distance from my mouth doesn't seem to be a problem for the microphone either with calls or voice command. The L shaped plug fits nicely through the Apple bumper case. Why Apple keeps shipping earbuds with all the ergonomic...Read more 12 of 14 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Denon AH-C260R Mobile Elite In-Ear Headphones with 3-Button Remote and Microphone (Black) (Electronics) I've been looking for a better set of earbuds for my iphone for some time, but I really want there to be a mic so that I can use hands-free without having to switch to a different set of headphones to take a call. These looked to be at a good price-point and seemed to have the features I wanted. I'm using the stock iPhone earbuds as my reference, and most of the music is in MP3 format (so lower expectations accordingly) but encoded at 256kbps using a LAME encoder. Sadly, the sound isn't to my liking. There's almost no bass response, and as a former bass player, the missing bottom end is just disappointing. The experience is across the board too - a bass guitar in rock, standup double bass in jazz, and synthesized bass in hip-hop and electronic music are all barely noticeable unless you're willing to injure your ears. The sound quality also varies through the rest of the range as well. Percussion seems to come across quite well. Punchy and bright, though...Read more 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Denon AH-C260R Mobile Elite In-Ear Headphones with 3-Button Remote and Microphone (Black) (Electronics) I have a very difficult time to put the headphone into my ears correctly. If they don't fit correctly, you don't get the great sound quality and it doesn't isolate the noise. I took it on my trip and had to spend a couple of minutes just to put it on. I keep hearing the airplane noise but once it's in my ears correctly, everything is quiet and the music sounds great. For that, I only give 3 stars instead of 5. I really enjoy the 3 buttons remote.
You may think it's me but I have used a lot of different brand of isolated headphones, Sony, Philips, Klipsch without any problem putting them on. I think the reason is they try to make it look nice, and it really does look nice, so making them short and curve. Therefore, it's hard to hold with your finger when your wear it. The curvy look make it difficult to press in into my ears. |
