Comment: I was on the budget search for a new pair of earbuds and after plenty of research I threw down the green for these and boy I'm I glad. The sound phenominal for the under $150 price range andthe longer you break them in the better the bass sounds. I have owned and tested the Sennheiser CX300-B Earbuds (Black), the creative EP, and the Bose in-ear and the Deonon's out shine in every catagory.
These are the most comfortable earbuds ever to have entered my ears. They have a unique angle to them that slips perfectly into the inside your ear. Wear these guys for an hour and then plug in you old earbuds and you'll be astounded as to just how comfortable these denon's really are.
The sound quality is incredible. Clear and crisp highs and mids and just about the most satisfying bass you could ever wish for! One sad thing in life is that the average consumer benchmarks the "quality" of their earbuds in the bass alone catagory. They are content with overly distorted thunping bass as long as it's louder then their average friend Joe's earbuds. but that's not how music was ment to be listened to. The denon's beautifully marry all the scales of the sound spectrum. But this is not stated to be-little the bass performance in any way, in fact in one of my songs the denon's produced such deep bass it gave the sensation of my whole body shaking as if riding in my friends care with his dual 12" subs pumping! Totally awsome.
So I'm a huge fan of these liitle guys. If there is any one out there who is trying to deside weather paying more then $20 for some earbuds or to the guy who wants to know if it's worth replacing the standered earbuds that came with his/her MP3 player these are the earbuds to start with. They'll have you hooked, you'll want to re-listen to songs you purchased five years ago just to hear how much good audio you've missed out on so far in life. I am a daily user and faithfully promoter of these earbuds (Denon does not pay me to promote FYI, but it would be nice if they did!) Just get them, you won't regret it.
Note on durability... I work on a poultry farm and each day these earbuds experience more dirt, dust, grim, and tear then they would ever experience in normal use invironment. They feel adequately strong and get the job done in the durability catagory as well.

Summary: Wear them upside down! 2010-06-04
Comment: UPDATE 2 (2010/06/04): After switching to my custom-made foam tips which are longer, thicker and more flexible than the provided plastic tips, my experience with these monitors improved significantly. Bass is definitely there now and sound seems more balanced. I'm also beginning to like the wrap-around style!
UDPATE 1 (2010/06/03): I'm still in the process of burning them in, but something that has been mysteriously left out of practically ALL reviews for these headphones is that the angled-nozzle design these use requires the wearer to insert them UPSIDE DOWN for a good fit. I got a much better seal by doing this, though one will probably want to double-wrap the cord around the ear for comfort. However, this probably works for me because my ear canals are very finicky when it comes to IEMs.
Nonetheless, I've had them for about a day now and am not too happy with them. Mid's and high's are way too bright, while the booming bass people have been clamoring about is all but absent. It's there, but it's really light. I had to set the equalizer to "Treble Reducer" on my iPhone to reduce the mid and treble levels to something tolerable. However, they've only gone through about 13 hours or so of burn-in, so I'm hoping this improves with time.
I'm coming from a pair of the ubiquitous Sennheiser CX300 and CX400 IEMs, which were very good to me and very comfortable to wear, especially with foam tips. They were very bass-heavy off the bat, and it got worse as time went on until the left channel went out. (It got so bad, in fact, that I needed to set the EQ to "Treble Booster" and turn up the volume to near-max to hear them!). Despite that, they were solid headphones I enjoyed owning.
Packaging is really nice, and the cord is plenty long. I'm really hoping I enjoy these IEMs; otherwise, I might have to go back to my CX400s!

Summary: Sounds Great, But didnt last 1 month 2010-05-20
Comment: I really enjoyed the Denon C452 headphones as far as sound quality, but there are a lot of other things that weren't too great. I owned the Maximo iMetal 590's, these Denon C452's and the Sennheiser cx-380, and as far as sound, i like these the best.
Pros:
1) Good sound quality (good deep bass, nice highs, great vocals)
2) Gold plated earphone jack
3) Lightweight
Cons:
1)Construction Quality (It didnt even last a month. I tried to return it to Amazon, but since I didnt try to return it right away, I was 5 days outside of the 30-day return window, so now I'm stuck with these useless earphones.
2) Short Cord. The cord is too short to keep your mp3 player in your pants pocket, but its too long to keep in your shirt pocket or armband. The cord extension is way too long and even if you keep the mp3 player in your pocket, the cord will sag to your knees.
3) Skinny cord. (maybe thats why it broke).
4) It doesnt provide too much noise isolation. When I was on the plane, the noise isolation was almost non-existent.
I think this product is defective, and it would be nice if Amazon would refund my money. Denon's website provided very little information for returns, and you have to pay for shipping yourself.
I liked the product and it sounded good, but I wouldnt buy it again, just because it broke too easily.

Summary: Perfect If they actually worked :( 2010-05-07
Comment: After pouring through Amazon reviews I chose these Denon AH-C452k - When I first Received the Denons I really loved everything about them , the fit, comfort and sound were great. For me the length was perfect at 5¡¦2 the reach from waistband to ear was great! They were not heavy or awkward at all. Yesterday the left ear went out tonight the right went out. :*( I ordered them on April 21 started using them on the 23 Today is May 6th. 2 weeks use. They were not expensive but they were the most I ever spent as I was tiring of the cheap earphones falling apart. These lasted less than the 10$ ear buds. I did not use them under extreme conditions; not even working out. I used them cleaning house, driving and sitting at work. The perfect length allowed me to wear the cord under my shirt and clipped to my waistband so they were protected no pulling or dragging like the longer cords always did. I did not save the packaging so I can¡¦t even return them . ¼
