Part of Denon's exclusive Mobile Elite series, the AH-D510R over-ear headphones combine our latest technologies with an inline three button remote that can control select iPod and iPhone models. It includes a microphone that lets you record voice memos with select iPod models and answer calls with select iPhone models. With the inline remote, you can control volume level as well as play, pause, forward and back functions. The AH-D510R contains a host of exclusive Denon technologies to deliver optimum sound quality and superior comfort. Denon's Acoustic Optimizer system provides equal ambient air pressure on both sides of the diaphragm for naturally balanced sound. The ear cup housings are a hybrid metal design, constructed of precision machined aluminum alloy and a sophisticated resin compound combination. Together, these materials dramatically reduce resonance improving sound detail and balanced. The large 42mm diaphragms are driven by powerful Neodymium magnets for dynamic sound and high efficiency, extending the battery life of your portable music player or computer. For DJ like applications, the ear cups can be reversed for one-ear monitoring. These light weight phones ensure hours of fatigue-free listening. Each enclosure features soft, foam-filled padding that provides comfort along with maximum isolation from external sounds. To ensure optimum fit and comfort, the AH-D510R uses new ear pads combined with an ergonomically designed, contour fit headband. -----UPDATE------

After just 6 months, the audio jack on my headphones broke off inside my laptop! I went to the apple store to try to get it removed from my laptop, but the "genius" wasn't able to remove it, and he told me I would need to pay hundreds to replace my entire logic board. After going into lab and using some precision tweezers, I was able to pull out the headphone jack, but I'm sure most people wouldn't have these tweezers on hand. I will never buy a pair of Denon headphones again!!

I bought these headphones after my AHD-1001K headphones stopped working after less than a year. Unfortunately, I had not registered my headphones online and lost my receipt, so they weren't covered under warranty anymore. I sent my headphones to a repair center to get fixed, but they weren't able to fix them and STILL charged me $35 for the bench fee!
