Since incurring a finger-hampering injury, I've been limiting my keyboard tinkling and pecking to reviewing earphones, a potentially expensive hobby. I was especially curious about these Panasonics, being pitched by the company as high "middle-range" phones or low "high-end" phones, depending on the listener's perspective. Panasonic's earphones, for some inexplicable reason, tend to get overlooked, though their low-end phones have struck me as among the best in their respective price range, especially the RP-HJE300's (I like the pair that comes with a necklace). The earbuds "with aluminum housing" are being sold as unique because of their light weight, full-frequencied sound (with tight bass and precise, detailed treble), and their especially well-designed case.

The latter is definitely a stand-out. A combination of hard metal and soft leather yet exceptionally compact and practical (unlike the cases of some phones costing several times the price). A total of three...Read more

Just bought these to replace my Ipod Headps. They feel good&seemed well made and came with a carrying case-- cute&handy. I chose these 'cause they are among the top(price&quality) Panasonic inside-the-ear(in-ear??) headphones...Some of the Panas. models below these were not impressive--seemed cheap and too "plastic-kee".
These have a decent sound, though not as loud as your "basic" Ipod Headps...they DO SEEM MUCH CLEARER--treble&midrange&highs seem CRISP, CLEAR when listening to Strings/Piano. Don't really know why, but the Bass could be stronger. Laptop's "enhanced" sound(base boost and virtualization") was excellent with these.

I'm still working out the right fit, since they are buds and not pods like the regular Ipod's, luckily they come with buds S,M,L...I'm still stuck on the ones it came with...my right ear seems to fit better than the left one-- then again, my Right-side seems to always do better at everything. Alas, Leftside!
But seriuosly...for...Read more

I tend to inflate my mixes with the subtle background sounds that appeal to me. In doing so it brings about a hip hop feel to the mix. I rid the mix of lower frequencies at below 25HZ. I try to throw out some of the higher frequency percussion sounds ,( as is my flavor ),because it sounds -- as a director from Iran stated: "like insects padding their feet inside the fallen trees". So, with that said, I think it is necessary as an artist/musician to put those percussion sounds into the mix because it gives energy, depth, and harmonizes the overall sound according to what that person desires in his original recording. So don't get all self critical if you are a musician reading this. It's a must that you do what you do. If those areas of headroom were completely missing the percussion that sounds like the insects, the mix would be just boring.

These are great phones for just walking, if you don't like the length of the cord, well, you'll just have to get a arm band for your mp3...Read more
