Nice inexpensive set of headphones to replace the awful ones always included with a portable radio. Bought a Sony digital pocket radio. Radio is great-the headphones were awful. Shameful from Sony. But these JVC's have a nice, clear, crisp sound. These are not power headphones for people who want the bass so loud it propels them into the stratosphere. These are for people who want to enjoy the sound of music.

I have owned several pair of headphones in the last 3 years. Mostly from Panasonic, Koss, Sony and JVC. This headphone has sound that is neutral, bass is there when it needs to be, treble is clear and crisp, midrange is full. The only con (and this is a big con) is the fact that it tends to get uncomfortable after 1 or 2 hours of use. Since I usually wear a headphone at work for 8 hours straight, there is no way this headphone gonna work for me.
I had the same problems with similar JVC headphone before in term of comfort, JVC has150 and JVC Marshmallow.
Unless you have iron ears, stay away from JVC headphones.
Ok for small heads,

The sound is fine, but the head band is too tight. It presses so hard against my ears that after 30 minutes they hurt.
So you think I'm a Fat Head! But no - I have a normal size adult male head. I have tied to bend the spring steel part of the band, but the plastic sections are made with a small radius and can't be bent. I'm sure unit is fine for kids and pea brains!
I also wish this only had one wire out the left side, rather than two wires (one to each earphone). But most of these phones (except for the cheaper Sony) are made this way.
