H2O Audio Interval Waterproof Headphone System for iPod Shuffle (2nd Gen)

Comment: This products was a disappointment to me. The earbuds never stayed in, the audio was in and out and the plastic ended up breaking after a couple weeks. While it was intact I spent more time at the edge of the pool trying to get it to work the actually swimming. I do use JH Audio JH5's as my regular headphones so my comment on audio may be a little picky.

Comment: I've had 3 of these break in less than a year. The manufacturer, so far, has been good about replacing them, though they just gave me notice that my year warranty is up (though I filled out the product registration online which was supposed to extend the warranty to 2 years). My sister, who also bought one, on my recommendation, also had her's break within the year. So far it has always been that one of the earbuds stops working. We have both been very gentle with the equipment and have used it only once or twice a week on average. This last time they replaced them with the Interval 3G (as this one is being discontinued) and I'm hoping they have worked out the bugs with the new model but I have yet to try it as I now need a new 3rd or 4th gen shuffle. H2O Audio clearly knows there is a problem with this unit, in the last round they did not ask me or my sister to return the broken unit. I'm really hoping that the new Interval has been improved as it is great to have audio while swimming. There are also issues with the earbud fit and having to adjust them while swimming but as of yet I don't see anything perfect out there. I have also used the FINIS swiMP3 and it is okay, I wish the volume was louder and the ipod shuffle for the Interval has more features (ordering of music, different filetypes (like audiobooks), fast forwarding/rewinding, etc.).

Comment: Awsome product! It does not fall out of my ears like some people have complained. Not even when I put the buds in wet. I did a lot of research and I considered buying the top rated underwater Ipod that uses blue tooth technology through your cheek bone. Turns out...I've tried them both. This product is much, much better. The sound quality is 100 times better. If anything is to ever happen to this one I will buy another is a skinny minute.

Comment: The heaphones get waterlogged. It helps to play them out of the water as well. When the earphones play softly in the water, play them for 30 minutes to an hour out of the water. Other than that, it works great.

Comment: I loved this for awhile, then the two plastic rods that hold it in place on your swim cap or band both snapped after about 3 months of sporadic use. So, I'd give it a high rating for about 2 months worth of use, then zero. I probably didn't use it more than 25 times either. It's now pretty worthless. This product was a waste of $100 for me.

I bought a "SquareTrade" warranty on it when I first bought it, and when I filed a claim they told me so sad too bad, talk to the manufacturer. I guess I'll try them next. This has always been my fear buying something on Amazon. It breaks and there's no recourse.
