Fresh out of the box, I liked the sound of these. The true deep and nicely balanced bass caught my attention - however the lower treble is a bit sibilant. Keep in mind that your mileage may vary as we all hear different, and in-ear phones can be a quirky item. What works for one person may not for another. That brings me to the issue I ran into with these - none of the 3 sizes of ear cushions worked for me. Keep in mind that these do NOT go into the ear canal, but hang on your ear. Get the position right, don't move, and the sound can be good. My pair is going back.
