Summary: Pretty bulky earbuds with a tinny sound... 2010-07-19
Comment: I have pretty small ears and it is hard to find earbuds that work for me. These earbuds were pretty hefty and rather uncomfortable. Moreover the sound was very tinny sounding. Disappointing! Still experimenting with different buds to find what will work for me. I would not recommend these to a friend due to the inferior sound quality. I've bought cheaper Ifrogz and they sound better and fit better to me. Just saying...

Summary: Where's the bass? 2010-05-01
Comment: No, No, No! I was looking for low/medium priced earbuds ($10-$25 range) with reasonable quality and decent sound for my Sony mp-3 player. By "decent sound" I mean clear tones with a recognizable bass.
I read Amazon reviews and thought these would fit my need. These earbuds deliver fairly clear and crisp sound and next-to-nothing-bass. Can I repeat that? again? I've bought about 15 pair of earbuds in this price range over the last 3 years and I have never had a pair with such an inaudible poor bass sound. In fact, when I first tried them w/ my stereo components, I assumed someone had turned off the bass.
I have about 2500 songs on my mp3 player, mainly 90 years worth of the blues. All of the songs sounded like they had been recorded by the Wizard of Oz's Tin Man when I listened to them with these earbuds..
I asked my teenage sons to try these e w/their mp3 players. You can probably still hear them laughing. They are not well-made and seem almost as flimsy as dollar store headphones. If you want to spend your money on something w/ absolutely no value to you, you'd be better off donating to my kids' college fund.
I wouldn't buy these again, wouldn't recommend them and feel a little guilty about donating them to the thrift store. No,No!No!

Summary: Very disappointing sound quality 2010-03-08
Comment: I bought these because of the price and the reviews. I am replacing the headphone that came with my wife's Palm Pre. I'm not an audiophile, decent headphones are enough for me, but these don't measure up.

Zero bass comes out of these headphones, they sounds tinny and completely flat. Additionally, there is about half the volume of any of the other headphones i have on hand to compare to. I turn the volume all the way up on the headphones and then i turn it all the way up on my phone (Sprint HTC Hero) and it's just pretty loud. But with any other headphones, I can't even turn it all the way up because it hurts.

In defense of iLuv, they sound so terrible that they might just be broken.

Summary: Good bargain. 2010-03-07
Comment: These are a great bargain, I'll say that. [...] wants $50 for this model. I'm glad I didn't spend that on them, because they really wouldn't be worth it. I had a pair of cheaper iLuvs and were really happy with them and wore them out over 2 years. I especially loved the in line volume control. I was a bit disappointed with model as the in line volume control is not the same and you don't have as much play room to adjust volume. My old pair you could "mute" them turning it down all the way, these have just a bar and even when its completely turned down, it is still a bit loud. I've also noticed a little screwiness with one of the buds, I have to tap it sometimes to get sound without crackling noises. Not bad for $20 overall, but you could probably do better with a cheaper model of the same brand.

Summary: hopefully helpful 2010-02-18
Comment: ok, I have a question before I buy, maybe a few questions.
First: i notised the cable is pretty long. does this effect the manuverability if i am a shorter person?
Second: I'm not sure i want people to hear what i hear. How loud does it play?
Third: I have owned plenty of headphones, all of which have broken. if they go through heavy use, every day, how long will they last?
I hope to hear back soon. possibly from me, as i'm thinking of buying anyway.
