This review is from: Audio Technica ATH-CKL200 Earbuds - Black (Office Product)
I took a gamble on these based upon the name, as their home hi-fi and studio cans tend to be north of 'average' and a good value for cost.
The gamble hasn't paid off with these, and they just aren't worth sending back for a $20 item. I wasn't expecting a miracle, and more chose these as throwaways for a trip to South America where they easily might be damaged or stolen. I wasn't expecting such a muddy response even at lower volumes.
I'd say these might be OK for spoken word such as audiobooks, but anything with mid-low tones such as any instrumental music, rock, EDM, etc is going to sound pretty terrible at any volume.
I might let these burn in for a few days and check back in but it's not looking too promising unless the drivers are just way too tight from the factory.
AT fans, move along, nothing to see here.
FYI since the summary is generic, these are Audio Technica "Dip" ATH-CKL200 with a 1.2m cord.
