Jaybird Sportsband Stereo Bluetooth Headphone - Bulk Packaging - Toffee Apple Red

I purchased these head phones direct from JayBird as they were not available in the beautiful red color on Amazon at the time. A little more expensive to deal directly with JayBird, but I needed a solution faster than I could wait for Amazon to have them. I was originally using the Plantronics 906/R US BackBeat Headphones, but I have a rather small head and these ear phones were constantly bothering me. It took roughly 10 minutes to get them on my head, then the first time I would turn left, right, up, or down, the band connecting to the two earbuds together would catch on my shirt and/or hair, and rip the earbuds right out of my ears. I spent more time trying to keep the earbuds in my ears than I actually did listening to anything. (As an aside, my husband loves the 906s and has no issues with them.) I've been using an older set of Bluetooth headphones with my iPod for years. Times have changed, and now I've upgraded to the Jaybirds. They work a whole lot better than the old ones, mostly because of the full support for AVCRP, which the iMuffs did not have. I wish these stayed on my head better, though.

Pros:
o Great sound quality. Not audiophile or anything, but for casual listening they really sound nice.
o Easy pairing with the iPhone.
o ALL the controls work: track forward/reverse, pause/play, volume, answer, etc, making me very happy! I'm using iOS 4.1 on the iPhone 4.
o Decent construction quality. They'll break if you abuse them, but they appear reasonably durable.
o Bluetooth connection between phone and headphone is rock-solid. I stick the phone in a pack or my back pocket and it's never once dropped out on me.

Revision - 1/18/12 - These headphones worked wonderfully until about a month ago. I didn't use them constantly, but when I used them before; the battery life and standby battery life were outstanding, NOW I'm lucky if I get 2 hours use out of a charge as opposed to the 8 hours before. Such a shame because the warranty was for a year, and that's how long they lasted for me. It's progressively getting worse, but I'll be looking at another brand for the replacement. Not worth $80-100 just for a year's use.

Original review - 11/23/10 - I had a set of Jaybirds that fit over the ear and had a cord connecting each ear bud, but they seemed really heavy on my earlobe and didn't stay in when I run.
