I own several pairs of headphones from Beyerdynamic, AKG and Sennheiser. I consider myself somewhat of an audiophile. These headphones really suprised me when I bought them for a knock-around pair. Great clarity, great sound stage. The only thing is that they are lacking in the bass dept. But if your music source has a "bass boost", then these things sound just as good as my much more expensive headphones. I have not owned JVC stuff since the 80's, but am now once again a fan.

I love these headphones. I've had them since they first came out 4 years ago. the only problem is the ear foam. starting to flake off and i can't find replacements. i still use these every day. great sound
