JVC HAFX34V Marshmallow Headphones

This is the 4th set of earbuds I've tried and HALLELUJAH.... SUCCESS!!! After receiving a new i-Pod, I quickly realized that the included earbuds did NOT fit in my ears. Instant headache. I then tried some Sony and then a store brand from Target. None were comfortable and none would stay in. JVC's earbuds were recommended and I purchased the purple to match my i-Pod. WOW! Why have I not heard of these before?? VERY comfortable, and I can dance around to my hearts content and they will not come out. The sound is just as great as with the i-Pod earbuds, but without the pain.

The 'memory foam' is wonderful. Blocks out all other noise while conforming to your inner ear. The extra set they include is nice as well. I would recommend these to anyone and everyone, but especially to those who, like me, may have sensitive and/or weirdly shaped inner-ears. Enjoy!!!

We own three sets of these JVC Marshmallow Headphones (for me and my two teens) and they are exactly what I was looking for to replace the earbuds that came with my iPods. Unlike the the standard iTouch earbuds, these fit directly into the ear canal so they stay in place if fitted correctly. Here are my observations:

+ Great Sound Quality - While not a serious audiophile, to my ears these produce a rich sound at all ranges.
+ Comfortable - The package contains two sizes of memory foam ear pieces, small (attached) and large. This was important to me because my left ear canal is larger than my right and I was able to get a get a good fit by swapping out the pre-installed left piece.
+ Noise Blocking - Outside noise\sounds are almost completely blocked out.
+ Adjustable Slide - Can be tightened up for use while exercising by sliding up the "stop", this significantly reduces the flopping of the cords.

JVC`s Marshmallows are quality earphones, at least initially. The sound quality is fine for music, or the spoken word (podcasts). The pads do a great job of sealing out ambient sounds, and the spare set of pads, is a thoughtful addition. An angled L pin jack would work better for me, as straight pins have a tendency to break, but then planned obsolescence is often part of product design, which leads me to the main problem I have with these phones. I have owned several sets, of different colors, and have found that after a while, the insulation on the cord starts to get stiff. The worst case was with a purple colored set. Eventually the insulation got so stiff that wearing the phones was like wearing a stethoscope. Vibrations caused when the cord was bumped, or moved, were transmitted through the cord, and amplified rather loudly in the ear. Know the sound when someone taps a microphone?
