It is amazing to me that this headphone there is little to no information about nor are there any reviews regarding performance and sound. Well here it is. Instead of shelling out a $100 to buy one high end headphone I wanted to spend that much to find the best one out of 3..Here are the ones I bought.
-JVC HAS600B Light weight Headphones (Black)
-Sennheiser HD238B Refurbished Headphones
-Sennheiser HD203 DJ-Style Closed Lightweight Headphones..My criteria were they all had to be able to used on an MP3 player and all of em had to meet my $100 goal so roughly $30 a piece. All purchased here on Amazon at the same time. All three was tested on my desktop with sound card. My laptop with external usb sound X-fi..A sony Mp3 player and one Cricket Suede music phone..My goal in purchasing the 3? To see which one would come out on top.. I am somewhat of an audiophile; I own thirty pairs of headphones, ranging from Bose on ear headphones, to Koss Porta Pros, to models made by Sennheiser, Pioneer, and Audio Technica. I own over the ear, on the ear, and in ear models. I take my music seriously, and I can't stand headphones that don't deliver good sound.
One thing that I enjoy doing, is looking for the "hidden gem" phones, the headphones that give you great performance, without paying an exorbitant amount. Recently while browsing in my local Bi-Mart, I came across the JVC HA-S600's. They were priced at $39.95, which is certainly reasonable for a good pair of cans, and even better if they deliver quality sound, etc. I decided to give them a whirl, and brought them home to stay.
I listen to my music on several different electronic options; I have music stored on my iPhone and iPad, an mp3 player, and on my HP laptop. My music ranges from Classical, to Rock, Electronica, and World Music. I...Read more

I just got these and I'm using them as I write this.
I bought them on the advice of the first reviewer and I have to say he was pretty right on.
The sound is very good. For me they compare very well to Bose.
For the price you will be very happy. They do block a lot of outside noise which is a plus.
I would have given them 5 stars but the cups are just a hair snug and the cord should have been a foot longer.
I think they can be loosened for those with large heads (me).
For $28 bucks though you won't find any better.

UPDATE - I'm sad to say I had to send these back. I just couldn't get the comfort to work for me.
If you have a small or medium head buy these...if you have a large head I'd pass.
