These JVC's are obviously not going to sound like $300.00 studio monitors, but they do their job very well. The dynamics are great, with a smooth curve, and ample attention to midrange. They're less bassy than their SONY counterparts, which is actually advantageous, as the SONYs were way too bassy. You'll have to make sure that you use the right size silicone ear-piece (3 sizes included) The volume slider on the cord is great, however the cord is wicked long!
These are a perfect replacement for the crap headphones that came with your iPod. Buy them if you are looking for earbuds under $30.00. 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: JVC In-Ear Headphones (White) (Electronics) As a person with no experience using these types of earbuds, it took a while to get the hang of it.
When I first put them on, the Bass was horribly weak and the music sounded very cheap and buzzy. Then I started playing around with the size of earpieces, and tried different fittings. As soon as I got the earpieces to fit the earphone tightly, and put them deeper in my ear, the difference was like night and day: The response of these headphones were beautiful! the bass was so robust and deep, the highs were crystal clear and it was so sensitive I could almost hear the background instruments turning on and off. I can't say enough about these headphones. In conclusion, be patient with them, don't be too hasty with the fittings, and it will pay off! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Tiffany (Phila, PA) - See all my reviews This review is from: JVC In-Ear Headphones (White) (Electronics) These phones are great! I'm not an audiophile, but I do appreciate a good sound. The stock iPod buds are average at best, and they hurt my ear something awful. So I tried some Sennheiser buds... Better sound, but painful ears again. So I started searching for some in-ears. As you may or may not know, quality in-ears can be expensive. I saw a couple of reviews for these JVC's and decided to give them a try. Again, I'm not an audiophile, but these sound so good! They bring the music from my iPod to LIFE! And I can jam as loud as I want (I know, I know) and not disturb anybody. And the comfort! OMG, it feels like nothing. They are as light as air! They come with three sizes of plugs so you can get the best fit. Search for in-ear phones to see how they are supposed to fit. If you aren't getting good bass, it's because you don't have the proper seal between the bud and your ear. Regarding durability, I've had them for six months and not a problem yet. And I'm not the most...Read more |
