Bigger than the flagship Image X10 by only 2mm in diameter, the Image X5 is still very tiny and lightweight. It features patent-pending oval ear tips that naturally fit the shape of your ear canals, reducing ear fatigue and producing a perfect acoustic seal. A good seal minimizes outside noise, allowing you to enjoy your music at lower, safer volumes.
The X5 comes with 5 different sizes of washable ear tips: small, medium, and large single flange designs, as well as small and large double flange designs. These soft, flexible ear tips are light and narrow, making them almost impossible to feel inside your ears.

Comment: I am quite a fan of earphones...Always in search of the best one money can buy without ruining myself.
I have the shure E310, E530 and although the sound quality is amazing, they unfortunately did not resist to the hard use I put them through with my usual workouts.
As for the Klipsch, they have resisted so far. One drawback is that with the sweat permeating everything, they do not stay put in my ears all the time and I have to readjust them regularly, which bothers me.
Sounds wise, excellent sound when correctly set, otherwise the bass disappears. The sound isolation is quite good too but overall I would still place them below the shure in sound quality.

Comment: The design is certainly sleek and streamlined. The patented oval silicone ear tips are extremely comfortable for hours of wear. I have heard about the relief strains, but it hasn't happened to me yet - I use a wire coiler to prevent suddent pulls on the cord to prevent this. Notice that the wire does not protrude at a right angle but instead comes off on a gentle curve consistent with the tapering end of the earpiece. In other words, the wires are not meant to bend at right angle.
I like this so much that I use it on my voice recorder, PC as well as notebook. After using this for a year, the sheath on the 3.5mm jack got peeled off due to repeated pulling. My advice? Grip onto the rubber sheath tightly and pull in a firm manner, not sudden yanking. Having said that, although the wires became exposed, there is a sort of acrylic transparent resin that seals the wiring, so I guess the wires won't come off that easily just because the sheath got pulled out.
Overall I am satisfied as I bought this at a huge discount. With the recent price drop, I may even considering getting another one!

Comment: Having purchased a few other headphones over the past few years I wish I had bought the Klipsch X5 headphones long ago, but the $250 price tag kept me away. Having found them on Amazon for $149 I thought it was a good deal. Now that I've listened to the X5 headphones I'm even happier. They are great! Not only are they comfortable to wear, the sound they produce is top quality. I have a pair of Bose over ear headphones and compared. The sound quality of the X5s are superior, but marginally. This is because the X5s are more like earplugs that almost completely block out any external noise, leaving you with pure sound. The base is solid, and the quality of sound across the spectrum is excellent. I highly recommend purchasing the Klipsch X5 headphones. You will not be sorry you did.
