The HB79 Wireless Headphone system consists of a single channel wireless stereophone and a compact infrared transmitter. Incorporating infrared technology, the HB79 is ideal for home audio, video and computer use. The transmitter connects to most home systems through a 3.5mm headphone jack or audio output. Utilizing infrared technology, it transmits an invisible, infrared signal to the headphone which then reproduces the audio signal. Unlike conventional wireless systems the HB79 is relatively small and lightweight for extended listening periods. The HB79 stereophone contains a dynamic element for extended frequency response. The adjustable, soft rubber headband provides maximum comfort and customization to any user. A volume control is placed on the earcup for convenient level adjustment. Foam cushions rest on the ear and provide an open, airy sound that allows the user to stay in touch with their environment.

I have owned this product for 2 years. I have replace it under warranty twice. The one I have now stopped working also, due to a loose or bad wire for the power to the unit. A lifetime warranty means nothing if you have to keep sending it in at YOUR expense. This has been a repeated problem with each unit that I have owned. They simply stop working. I recommend the Sennheiser wireless head phones that I purchased a year ago that operate on a better wireless system. You can buy them from Amazon. Good luck!

item works as advertised. sound quality was better than i anticipated. The headset is a little heavier than I'd like but it isn't too bad if only worn for a few minutes at a time. I doesn't go "through walls'. It is strictly line of sight and starts getting a little static at around 25 feet. The battery door on the headset is a little tricky to get open. All in all, it was worth the money to free of the wire.

These earphones have good padding on the ear part. However, it does not have the button to change channels. I purchased them for our SUV, but unlike the other Koss earphones we have, my children cannot listen to the radio while the others are listening to the tv.
