Summary: Ouch 2008-09-30
Comment: Well, you get what you pay for. I thought it was worth a shot, but they are lousy headphones. I had a pair of inexpensive Koss over the ear headphones that I used for commutting, they were great, but fell apart beyond tape and glue. I thought these would be the same suprisingly good listening devices, but alas, it was not to be. Do not waste your money, they have very little bass and midsection, do not adjust all that well around the head and even with my ipod EQ, I could not get them to sound decent. they are in the drawer as a last resort when the new headphones (panasonic) go bad, break or get lost.

Summary: No problem until now - after 2.5 years 2007-12-24
Comment: These were everything I looked for: cheap decent-sounding behind ear headphones that still let me hear what was going on around me at work.

Only problem similar to other reports is sometimes need to adjust the volume slider to right position or one side would cut out.

After having these for 2 1/2 years the cord wore out (with some help from me - sometimes I'd stand up and get the cord caught on a desk corner). I'll purchase a higher quality set next time

Summary: Typical Koss - Bang for Buck 2007-07-21
Comment: I bought these to replace my lost traveling headphones (sony earbuds). They were bought specifically because they were folding and not earbuds. I've never been a fan the earbud-style and bought my last pair because I'd had no choice.

So far, these are much more comfortable and those of you with heads the size of basketballs will be happy to find the "behind the head" feels comfortable and secure even on your massive melon.

The sound seems a little washed out--I'm surprised--Koss usually has a very good sound. Still it's tolerable for the extra comfort and portability.

Durability wise, these seem sturdy and well made (despite the other reviews) but only time will tell for sure--being for travel, they will take a lot of abuse.

Koss does have a lifetime warranty--so I'm sure I'll be abusing it.

Summary: Not bad for the money 2006-04-04
Comment: Bought this because I needed a pair of headphones to wrap behind the head (remember to wear a helme when you're cycling, kids!), that also had a volume control, and that were cheap enough to not miss if they got broken.

This headphones have an interesting feature -- the ears sort of fold up to form this horizontally smaller setup for travel -- it's not particularly useful in practice, but it is a nice thought.

They are a little tight around my head yet do not hurt after extended (2 hour) use, but YMMV.

As for the sound -- you will need to tweak the EQ if you have one on your player. They are naturally fairly cheap, and so you don't expect good sound, but they really seem to blast the mid-high range, sometimes in an almost painful fashion. Lowering the mid-highs, and upping the bass and treble solves it for me. This is why I'm rating it a 3, for the unbalanced sound. I've had other similar products (my last set) which, while the sound isn't great, reproduce it fairly evenly across the board.

Other than that, if you need a pair of cheap headphones to work out with, with a volume control, that wrap around your head, these are the ones to get.

Summary: Not Worth Buying 2006-03-11
Comment: When I received this product the only way to get both sides to work was to hit them repeatedly. Loose connection I believe. Not worth it to try and return them. Threw them in the trash can and bought a better pair at a local retailer.
