3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Sound, Poor Fit, Thin Cord, February 21, 2006

This review is from: KOSS Portable In-The-Ear Earbud Headphones P15 (Electronics)
My wife purchased these for me after our daughter "ate" my Sony's. The sound is very nice - impressive for the price, even on the bass which is unique for ear buds like these.

The problem I have is the fit. While the iPod "default" ear buds that are the same style fit well for me, these do not. If I don't move they stay in, but even the slightest movement of my head causes one or both to slip out. I know it is very tough to describe fit so I used the iPod earbuds as a frame of reference.

Also, the cord seems very thin. I have not had a problem with them, but it looks like a problem waiting to happen.

The wrap around case and strap seems like a good design - keeps them from getting tangled and makes them easy to find in the bottom of a briefcase.

I struggled with giving them a lower rating or not based on the fit and potential cord problem, but in the end decided that if they don't stay in, the good sound doesn't matter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality For The Price, May 11, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: KOSS Portable In-The-Ear Earbud Headphones P15 (Electronics)
The price was quite low, so I didn't have very good expectations for these in-the-ear earbud headphones. However, I was quite surprised at the quality of them. One thing I was looking for was a good appearance. I was very happy with the look of these. They don't look cheap like my previous headphones, but very sleek sharp and expensive. All of my friends are impressed with them. Unlike my previous headphones, these don't hurt my ears or fall out as easily as my previous ones. There are a couple of bad things about these headphones such as : They do ocassionally fall out and it is difficult to get the earbuds and plug in thingy to fit in the "case" type thing. I DO reccomend these headphones and I hope this helps you guys!

2.0 out of 5 stars Unsatisfactory for Koss, August 22, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: KOSS Portable In-The-Ear Earbud Headphones P15 (Electronics)
I can't remember why I purchased these, but I don't use them anymore. From the first time I tried them, I noted that they were uncomfortable and the sound quality was mediocre; not what I would expect from Koss.

If you're looking for ear buds, I suggest trying the in-ear-sealing type--Several years ago, I was turned off by that type because I never liked putting stuff in my ear. I quickly grew accustomed to it though and now appreciate the sound quality and isolation that those offer compared to these (P15) type. If you don't want sound isolation, then I suggest looking at over-the-ear headphone sets. For example, the Koss PortaPro's are likely the best sounding headphones I've ever heard (my personal favorite).

Generally I would avoid these unless you are set on getting the hard-plastic standard-ipod-type headphones, to witch these would probably compare a little more favorably.
