Summary: Can't go wrong for the price! 2008-03-29
Comment: You can't do much better than this for the price... this is what I come to expect in the $20-35 dollar range, and I've bought some in that range that are significantly worse.
I give these five stars simply because of performance vs. price or 2 based on performance (1 would be unusable bad).
The earbuds aren't as bad as people say either... but they're still earbuds.

Summary: Beat To Death And Still Running 2006-06-09
Comment: I've had mine for a few years now, and I have beaten mine to death...but it still sounds great. I've taken my TD-61 out camping, boating, on vacations, and even use it at work every work day (computer stuff). They're comfortable over my eye glasses even after hours of listening and escaping at my desk. I own a more expensive USB SENNHEISER PC165 headset for gaming, but the comfort doesnt compare and bang for the buck the TD-61 is really a nicer headset. I've had some mid-end Sony headphones before, but they just didn't feel comfortable with my eye glasses. I've destroyed my existing pair of TD-61's cosmetically (of my own doing) one way or another. One side of the headset is rigged with cable ties, and the other with velcro ties..heh. :) About a year ago, I accidentally got my cable caught up with my desk chair and ripped my left ear cable loose when I started walking off with them on. I forgot I had them on (um, duh!) It took 3 minutes to warm up the sodder gun and re-attach it. It disassembles without the need for tools. Though I love this pair, I guess its time to reorder a new set for work so that I don't remind people of eye glasses with tape in the middle...I suppose I'll use these in my garage,...(Side note, listening with them now, while righting this review)

Summary: Couldn't be more pleased 2006-03-27
Comment: I believe I spent a relatively low amount for these, and they've been very good to me. I've never had a problem with them, even with the four or five years I've had them.
The sound is perfect and the ear padding is great.
I don't think anyone would regret buying these; I know I haven't.

Summary: worn out earpadding? 2005-04-08
Comment: ive had my td61's for 3+ years now. the ear pads are starting to wear, but the sound is still there and it functions completely fine. if you have the same problem the koss website, koss.com, has replacement pads for 5 bucks. a good option rather than buying new ones.

Summary: Beautiful headphones with some kinks 2004-12-27
Comment: i loved these headphones when i got them and i used them for about 7 months till natrually a kid kicked my backpack at school and severly damaged the "case" the speakers are held in. I found that these headphones have great speakers in them with great clarity in bass and treble. But the slight design flaw in them makes them easy to break the "case" when hit. One other thing that bothered me about these headphones is the wire is very slim and easy to damage especially because its 8 feet long. Personally yes i will buy a new pair of Koss headphones because of this great experience with their work but im still undecided wether it was just bad luck that made the case on mine break or it really was a design flaw and i was asking for it. They are made for home use so i probably had it coming to me using them as my regular headphones everywhere i went.
