Summary: Does the Trick 2008-08-01
Comment: These are exactly what I needed! I work on a farm and like to drown out the noise while I listen to my music.
They're fairly sturdy. They're inexpensive, so I don't have to worry about getting them nasty. The sound quality is decent (good for the price). The bass is nice but the high-end is a little lacking. They drown noise out well and are quite comfortable. There's no volume adjuster on the cord. I see that as an advantage as my old phone's volume slider used to get moved around while I was working.
These are perfect headphones for someone who listens to music while doing manual labor.
If you want some headphones for casual mp3 use, then you'd be better off getting something like the KTXPRO1. They don't drown out noise, but the sound quality is superior to the UR-10-- particularly on the high end.

Summary: What do you expect for around ten bucks?! 2007-06-12
Comment: Granted, these inexpensive 'cans' (mine cost ten bucks at Borders) are not going to sound nearly as 'musical', detailed, or accurate as a pair of 2 or 3 hundred dollar Sennheiser or Beyerdynamics, but the good news is that they are a decent value for the money and sound better than most cheap 'cans' or earpieces that come with your portable device. They work very well with portable audio devices such as mp3, CD, or FM units because of their low impedance. However, the sound is unquestionably 'veiled' and muddy at times, and it would be worth your while to spend forty or fifty bucks on a better set of portable 'cans' if you want real 'high-end' sound with more liveliness and inner-detail. Look at the Sennheiser PX100 or the AKG K26P if you want to realize the full potential of your portable devices. If you're on a low budget, these will definitely do, however you're selling yourself short if you're seeking to hear the full potential of your music.

Summary: an UNBELIEVABLE deal for 5 bucks = ) 2006-12-16
Comment: got these headphones for 5 bucks, mainly for its isolation. does a good job muffling the bus engine noise. bass is too strong though, but is easily fixed. also needs a sweet spot on the ears, or it might feel uncomfortable after a long time (but everybodys got different shaped ears anyway). gold connector is also a nice addition.

Comment: like a said in the title these headphones are great! i'm a great fan of metal and i always find CD's ranging from Rush to Judas priest in my CD player. those ear piece headphones are really annoying cuz they slip out of ur ear when ur moving. these however are always stable and barely move. I know this because i always thrash and bang my head. i originally found these at borders and they looked cool and they were cheap so i bought them. i was shocked at home when i found that these headphones were pretty heavy in bass. i don't mind that actually. i found it much better than ear phones! they need a bit getting used to at first but otherwise its great! the sound comes in perfectly. another thing is that i somehow end up accidently pulling on the wire thing but it always stays put. i was afraid that the wires in the headphones would break but they never do.
so overall what i'm trying to say it that these headphones are great because they are comfortable, durable, and cheap.
