Comment: Excellent sound quality. Easy installation with Windows XP, allthough the instruction sheet doesn't say XP supported.
Tested product with Windows Movie Maker II and Pinnacle Systems Studio 8.10.4. Works well with both apps.

Summary: Excellent USB desktop mic with pod mod 2004-01-28
Comment: This is a very good mic for general desktop use. However, the electret element is too cheap and tinny for serious recording.I suggest performing a simple mod to replace the element with any other good pc microphone. Open the mic stem, remove the electret element, and replace it with a $.99 1/8in phono jack. Now you can plug your best pc microphone into it, and it will sound better than ever. As a matter of fact, it sounds way better than any USB pod I've used!!! I use it with Visual Communicator pro and the microphone that comes in the box. My presentations sound like commercial quality.
