Comment: Just got mine and I'm totally disappointed in the very poor bass response. Though Koss buds aren't the only ones to have bad bass reproduction, I know for a fact that some Sony buds are far superior to the Koss buds. I'm gonna keep the Koss for backup, but I'm buying a pair of Sony buds, pronto.

Comment: These things are great, the audio is good, the buds are comfortable, and the wire is a great (very bendable and less tangle-prone) material!

Summary: No better earbud for the cost!! 2010-07-21
Comment: They are very comfortable in the ear. Cancel some ambient noise and sound better than any other earbud I have tried. They actually produce a very good base note, like no other earbud. I will always buy KOSS!! Dont waste money buying overpriced, uncomfortable earbeds that only produce highs and mids.

Summary: Poor built quality! 2010-01-13
Comment: I've purchased those buds after getting my ipod last year.
I wanted to upgrade from the earbuds that come with the ipod.
Only about a month and a half later they literally fell to pieces although i took great care of all my equipment!
The plastic base (white) is everything but solid! The back plate is simply - and poorly - glued to the rest of the body. One day the back plate simply came out! I was able to snap it back in place, but soon enough it came out again. I glued it back this time, but i guess that wasn't enough. A bit later the sound in the right bud started to die - the small cables inside the bud were probably damaged during the snaps off.
In terms of comfort those are also pretty bad. The black part is a soft foam - which seemed a good option at first as it looks similar to those noise cancelling buds. But after a wearing them for a while it becomes very uncomfortable, a bit itchy and sore. In addition, after a while i could see that the foam was struggling to return to its original shape. However they broke down before that became a problem.
Overall i was very disappointed! They lasted only a very short time, were pretty big in size - making it difficult to fit in your typical jean pocket - were build very poorly and were not comfortable for slightly long listening (over an hour).
The only positive things about them was that the sound quality was ok - not particularly great though - and they insulated from outside noise pretty well.
I've now replaced them with the Sony MDREX36V (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDREX36V-BLU-Earbud-Headphone/dp/B001EYU3JY/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top) - mine aren't blue though. And it's much better on all the areas! I've been using the Sony for a year now, never had a problem with them!
They are very comfortable, insulate from outer sounds very well and the build quality is just great! Plus they are tiny.
As a conclusion, I really recommend looking at another option and avoid this brand: Koss !

Comment: I am a "lawn care technician" and I've tried a ton of earbuds. These are still working just fine as of today. Now, you should know that I mainly listen to podcasts on my iPod and for the spoken word, these work just fine. If you're getting them for listening to music, you may want to upgrade to a nicer set of buds. It just depends on how particular you are. For general listening to people talking, these are fine.
The one feature that I really like on these buds is the little volume control thingy. You can up or down the volume without digging your iPod out of your pocket every five minutes. That's just a real, real nice feature.
