The Peanutz digital ear buds by Maxell offer premium sound quality without the bulkiness of traditional stereo headphones. These little guys have a sleek, compact design with soft silicone triple flanged ear tips that offer a comfortable, noise filtering fit. The 9.3mm driver and neodymium magnet provide a high intensity listening experience with crisp, clear sound and deep base. The Peanutz are compatible with iPods, CD players, DVD players, and many more portable devices.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible headphones, February 20, 2009

I purchased these ear bud headphones locally because the headphones that came with my MP3 player went out and I needed something right away. Only one earphone was working and it was really annoying. I buy these and the first thing I notice is the wires are thin and not very sturdy around the ear bud. The next thing I notice is sound quality is bad. The highs are muffled and the lows are too much for these things to handle. I have a Sansa e260 and while I normally have the volume set to the midway point, I had to increase the volume to 3/4 level. I just ordered a set of jbuds since I had them with my old iPod. The Jbud (JBuds Hi-Fi Noise-Reducing Ear Buds) are far, far better then these maxell and only a couple bucks more! I gave these headphones 1 star only because Amazon doesn't allow me to give no stars.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as Expected, September 26, 2009

I have bought numerous Maxell items in the past and have always been pleased. Not this time. I got these today for several reasons.......needed a set of black buds, liked the in your ear without laying on something look and the Maxell name. While they do fit comfortably in my ear, the sound is definitely lacking. The mid range sounds good and strong....crisp as expected. The highs are hard to diagnose and the bass is defintely weak.....even putting my MP3 on bass enhance. Another problem is that while they fit comfortably in the ear and you can even lay on that side with no discomfort, there is really nothing to grab to remove them from your ears but the wires themselves. I can see now they will not last long doing that.

I bought a set of JBuds a couple of weeks ago for less than these..........they are vastly superior. They are crystal clear, have great sound and strong, solid bass. I would recommend going that route.

1.0 out of 5 stars These are pretty bad, June 10, 2009

I purchased these when the pair I was using died unexpectedly. Since I was in a hurry to find new earbuds, I picked these up at my local pharmacy because they were the only in-ear earbuds they had. I'm sorry I didn't hold out for a different brand. Not only are these pretty flimsy, but the sound quality is terrible. The $4 cheapy earbuds I've purchased online in the past have had better sound quality than these do. I expected better from Maxell. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on these.
