Summary: You get what you pay for. 2008-10-11
Comment: Note that the noise cancellation really only works on repetitive background sounds, like airplane droning. It doesn't cancel someone banging pots and pans.
The other reviewers are right, you don't compare this to something that's $300. For this price I give it a 4 star. This isn't a great set of headphones, but for this price, what else are you gonna get?
My only other complaint is that is it's a little too tight for my head. I haven't had any problems with any other headphones, so it's not my head!
But bottom line, great price for a decent pair of headphones.

Summary: Nice item for the price 2008-09-13
Comment: The noise-cancelation works really nice. You switch on a button and you are almost isolated from the ambient noise (you can still hear others talking---this is not noise, i guess). Sound quality is also good.
Nice deal for the price.

Summary: I Woulnd't Recommend It! 2008-01-02
Comment: I purchased these (at a local store, not at Amazon) because of the attractive price and the claimed 12dB reduction. Well, I got What I payed for. It made more static noise than audible noise reduction when using them alone and with an MP3 Player. Returned them for my Money Back the next day.

Summary: Great headphones! 2007-12-12
Comment: For the price I paid excellent headphones! Most people make the mistake of comparing a high-end product and intermediate quality product. For this price range, this is an excellent product. I used to have Sony, Logitech, Creative and Philips headphones with more than this price and I can say RCA is the best among them. Yeah, if you compare it with a Bose with $300 price tag on it, this is not a good choice for you.

Summary: Bulky AND ugly! 2007-12-05
Comment: They look ridiculous. Honestly, you know the napster logo? They're that huge.
The sound is very mediocre on songs with a lot of bass, but if you're listening to They Might be Giants or Frank Zappa they're crisp as hell. That's the only reason why this isn't a 1.
Also, the noise canceling feature doesn't work very well, and even if it was perfect, it wouldn't matter. The person next to you can hear everything you hear, even at a lower volume.
