Product Description
NoiseBuster electronically cancels irritating background noise so you can enjoy peace and quiet or enhanced clarity of music with reduced distortion. Try it on an airplane to reduce engine din and enhance the sounds of in-flight entertainment. It's also great for use with exercise equipment, while commuting or mowing the lawn. Background noise degrades the quality and clarity of music in two ways. First, it masks certain tones in the music, making the sound unbalanced. Second, in order to compensate for noise, people tend to overamplify the music, causing distortion. NoiseBuster solves both problems and therefore delivers the utmost in music clarity when used with portable audio devices.

Summary: Great price, good noise canceling, but . . . 2007-11-19
Comment: I bought these headphones less then 4 weeks ago and have used them moderately since then. A few days ago I noticed that a piece of the locking clip on the top of the headphones had broken and today I went to unfold them and the whole locking clip broke! The noise canceling ability of these headphones is great for the price and with a decent battery you can get more than 24 hours of use from them. I have never dropped them or done anything that would compromise the integrity of the plastic. So that leads me to believe that the plastic that they used to make them must be of a very low quality. The best noise canceling in the world is useless if you can't wear the headphones that have it.

Summary: A disappointing performance 2007-10-18
Comment: Based on previous reviews I had high hopes. Those reviews must have been paid endorsements because the performance was poor and that is being kind. The product does not cancel the noise (air travel) it replaced it with a different type of noise. I tried a pair of Sony headphones on another flight and the quality was truly superior. Also, be prepared to purchase a battery because the one that comes with the product is less than cheap. I would not recommend this product.

Summary: Noisebuster works! 2007-01-09
Comment: I've never owned noise cancelling headphones before. Altho I have tried the high priced brand on several occasions. I put these on during a flight from San Francisco to Miami, and thought that they were nice and comfortable, and very quiet. They also provided good fidelity when I plugged into the movie sound at my seat connection.
But then, I took them off to go to the bathroom. WOW! The plane was NOISY! All the hubub from both passengers and engine noise started to make me crazy, and I could not get those phones on fast enuf! It was then that I knew how good these little critters actually were.
The downside: bring an extra battery!

Summary: worth every penny 2006-07-31
Comment: These headphones are fantastic. I didn't find them uncomfortable at all. I bought a much more expensive pair AFTER these for my husband thinking they would be even better than these..NOT. These were BETTER than the ones I paid another $75 extra for!
Not only does it make the flight more relaxing, without the constant back ground noise you will not get jetlag! Who knew! My doctor told me this so I tried it out. Absolutely true!! I listen to music with the headphones or just enjoy the quiet. I use them at home and it cuts out air conditioning noise or mutes the TV enough if I don't want to hear what my husband is watching!
It comes with the plug for the airlines or use it with your own music system. Test it yourself, lift the ear piece away for a second or turn the on button back to off. Listen to that roar! Its draining. I won't be without these headsets again! Well worth the money! I can't say that for the more expensive brand.

Summary: The best value for the money 2006-07-05
Comment: After trying several brands I purchased a pair of Noisebuster's more than 3 years ago and I have to say that they are still the best value headphone when you want to disconnect from the outer world in noisy places. I usually wear them at the office while working which allows me to listen to music at the same time at a good quality (I mean, connected to a computer music system, you get very decent sound).
I also own a pair of Bose QuietComfort which I bought on a later date which work prety well too. The Bose are superior if you want to listen to music in a better quality system (I own a Harman Kardon equipment and Bose speakers), but all in all I consider the noisebusters of better value for what I paid and very very close to the Bose on reducing the external noise.
In net, I am definitively purchasing a new Noisebuster pair to replace my first set which is already showing signs of aging and would recommend the NB to anybody.
