Summary: Panasonic RP-WF930-S 900MHz wireless headphone review 2007-12-16
Comment: I've been using these headphones for the last month; I've used at least 3 other brands over the last 8-9 years. I have an older TV in the bedroom with a switch in back that turns off the TV speakers but not the rear RCA audio connectors; this lets my wife sleep while I watch TV. The 900MHz frequency transmits about 40 feet through the house -- it easily goes through a wall or two; avoid any 'infrared' headphones -- any object will block the audio stream and it's a hassle to reconnect. The internal battery charges via 2 small connectors on the bottom of the earpiece - it takes a little playing around to get the base station connectors to mate with the headphone contacts, but a green light confirms the connection - no harder than plugging in an external plug which one of my past set of headphones required. I would prefer using 2 rechargeable AA batteries for power as my last set used -- but this is nearly as good. The charge on these Panasonic headphones seems to last 2 weeks but I'm still testing this - the internal battery is likely on the small side. The 'tuner' is well away -- opposite side - from the volume dial which is good design. The tuner is a 'rocker' switch .... seems to have only 2 or 3 settings but it does work. I got no documentation with the set -- can't say that I miss it much. I've had trouble with muffled sound from the headset a couple of times, but it seems to go away if I charge the battery or turn the TV volume up and the headset volume down some. The price seems very reasonable and I'd say I'd likely buy these again.

Summary: Rubber coating falling off the wires 2007-10-19
Comment: Panasonic should be ashamed.
I bought the 930 model two years ago.
Warranty is only good for 90 days.
I hope not all thier wireless models are not made from same manufacturing plant.
The wireless base has a cable that connects to my audio source.
I noticed the reception had been getting worse.
Upon inspection I noticed the rubber coating falling off the audio wire.
It was flaking off in chunks.
I opened the base unit and found the interior wires in that same state of deterioration. The interior wires are not the same type of cable, but the rubber covering was flaking off in the same way.
Upon opening the actual headphones I discovered the same problem with the wires.
I have other audio components that are over 20 years old and yet the wires are still flexible. I will never buy Panasonic headphones again.

Comment: Bought this for someone with a hearing problem. With this everyone can have the volume set to a level they can hear the program.

Summary: Good Wireless Headphones 2007-05-15
Comment: These work pretty good. Great distance. You do get some ocassional feedback noise and you have to change channels to try and compensate. Other than that they work pretty much as advertised.

Summary: Great Easy Headphones! Great for TV viewing at night! 2007-05-12
Comment: I was sick and tired of replacing batteries in the old Radio Shack pair of wireless headphones... it was difficult and costly. These Panasonic headphones are great. The light comes on if it is charging up the headphones that are placed on the base, and it goes out when they are fully charged. In addition, the light comes on when there is a signal going to the headphones. They are a no-brainer, and they work superbly with the tv. You just need to turn up the tv a bit more, and adjust the volume with the headset to get a clear and crisp sound. Wonderful easy set of headphones. I would recommend these to anyone that would like to listen to the tv without bothering others. They are extremely comfortable too! Great product once again from Panasonic!
