Comment: At the price point they are great and works for me whether running on trails or in the gym or on the subway.

Summary: If you have a big head . . . 2008-02-05
Comment: These seemed like an awesome solution to my headphone needs, but they fell short. I guess I shouldn't have had high expectations due to the price. I love that they collapse for easy storing. They're very light. And they provide decent sound.

Unfortunately, they don't adjust for different head sizes - and it's very irritating because they go around the back of the neck. I can't move my head once I have them in the right spot, because then they get caught on my coat, my seat, my collar . . . you get the point. Also, the cord doesn't stay connected to my iPod very tightly.

All in all, I don't recommend . . . unless you have a big head.

Summary: Great sound... while they lasted 2008-02-01
Comment: I bought these as a replacement for my wonderful, now completely worn out (and sadly discontinued) Philips HS500s. These weren't quite as comfortable as the HS500s, but as many of the other reviews say, they did have great sound... for the period of time that the headphones worked. About five months after I bought them, the sound in one ear began to gradually fade and within about a month it was almost completely gone. I'm still looking for a pair that is both comfortable and will actually last for over half a year.

Summary: So far so good 2007-12-30
Comment: I bought these for my husband, who loves to listen to music while he runs. He said that they are very comfortable, sound great, and likes the reflective back for night running. He's had several pairs before this, and likes these the best.

Summary: Good Sounds From A Small Headset! 2007-12-29
Comment: I recently auditioned a pair of Westphone UM2's (a high-end, in-ear earphone) which sell for over $300. I had read amazing reviews on them and had hoped they would be THE solution for my on-the-go iPod listening. Without going into great detail, I found them to be unlistenable. I was thinking about trying the Credo line of headphones, but decided they just weren't practical for me.
So, after reading a review on the Philips HS820's, I gave them a listen. For the money, these are awesome little headphones! The imaging and spatial quality is excellent for a headphone of this size and weight. The low end is lacking a bit, but you just don't get great low end from an on-the-ear transducer this small and light. I find them to be quite 'musical' and can listen to them for long periods of time, tirelessly. They also fold up in a configuration which is negligibly small, which makes for fast, easy stashing. My only complaint would be that the neckband is a bit cumbersome to a smaller person and can get pushed up if you have a jacket on. Still, they are keepers!
