Summary: Make sure they fit !!!!!!! 2008-11-14
Comment: I bought these headphones and tried everything to get them to fit in my ear. Unless you have dumbo ears, they will not stay in your ear unless you are a statue. I tried both rubber attachments, and even tried wearing them without the rubber pieces, and they still fell right out of my ear with the slightest head move. As I ended up holding them in my ear with my hands, the sound was no better than any other headphones. Make sure they fit your ear! You'll be angry if they don't...

Summary: Poor design and mediocre sound 2008-10-25
Comment: I initially liked the sound quality, but after using them for awhile, discovered that the design is terrible. First, I have lost all but one of the silicon rubber adapters. The rubber adapters seem to soften with age and they come off easily. With the clear silicone rubber, you don't notice you've lost one till you put it in your ear. Finding a lost one is almost as easy as finding a contact lens. I checked Philips customer support, but they don't stock replacement adapters. They referred me to a website, but the cost of the replacement plus s/h is as much as the price of a new set of earphones in Amazon.

Second, the earphones continually fall out if you are doing anything involving upper body movement, like yard work. Part of the problem is the conical shape which tends to put a lot of the weight/bulk and wire on the very end of the earphone. It is also due to the extremely long cord that seems to get hung up on everything, no matter how I wrap it around my body. The falling out is also due to the relatively large size of the cone end that goes in the ear canal. It does not fit my medium to small ear canal, even with the smallest silicone adapter.

Finally, the design of the earphones makes them painful for my medium to small ear canal. It hurts when I insert the earphones and feels uncomfortable to wear. Wearing them for a long period of time makes the ear canal sore.

The tight fit of the earphones does keep out a lot of external noise in situations like riding the bus or a plane. The sound quality is also better than regular OEM earphones that come with most mp3 players. However, I would not buy these earphones again if for no other reason than the unreplaceable silicon adapters.

Summary: Can't keep them in my ears 2008-10-07
Comment: The sound is really good, but I can't keep them in my ears. If I walk too fast or chew food, they fall out. What good are earbuds if you can't keep them in your ears.

Summary: Terrible sound 2008-08-23
Comment: These headphones provide a terrible sound. I definitely would not recommend them.
The Philips SHE5910 model is much better, at the same, or lower, price.

Summary: Best I've Ever Owned. 2008-08-10
Comment: These buds produce great sound and I like the way they stick right in your ear canal because I can never get the other type of ear buds to stay in place. They're also quite durable. I've always had a tendency to go through any kind of headphones or ear buds like dental floss, but these last quite a long time.
