This review is from: Philips SHN2500/27 In-Ear Noise Canceling Earphones (Black) (Electronics) Earset are small, light weight, and seal external noise well. Noise cancelling works well. Two things to keep in mind:
1. make sure you read the directions on how to set up the wires around your neck; otherwise the weight of battery unit will pull it out of your ears 2. get a case for the unit; it doesn't come with a case and the thin wires seem fragile Price is pretty low and the performance is excellent. Just need to treat it with care. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Philips SHN2500/27 In-Ear Noise Canceling Earphones (Black) (Electronics) Don't waste your money. These headphones are very fragile - failed after only about 3 weeks of very light use. Additionally, calling these "noise cancelling" is quite a stretch. They are ear plug type headphones and so exclude some extraneous sound. With the "noise cancelling" box turned off, you can hear normal headphone sound. When you turn on the box, the headphones get louder but the noise does not actually go down, so there is no actual noise cancellation going on. (You can accomplish the same thing with the volume control on your player!) I have since purchased other ear plug type headphones for a fourth the cost that sound as good, work just as well and don't burden you with the requirement for batteries or the heavy "noise cancelling" box. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Philips SHN2500/27 In-Ear Noise Canceling Earphones (Black) (Electronics) The sound on this piece is very tinny. Compared to Sony's $20 products, this is a huge disappointment. The "noise-canceling" function didn't cancel any external noise, just made the music and static when not playing music louder. Furthermore, the box that is supposed to power the "noise-canceling" function is bulky and inconvenient. I would not waste your time or money with this product. It's only slightly better from what I got at dollar-tree. |
