When my Philips SHN9500 stopped working (a very nice set), I decided to try my luck with a less expensive headphone from Philips. I was very disappointed with the quality of this headphone and after trying it for about 20 minutes, I decided to return it (sorry, Amazon, I don't mean to cost you any burden, but this one is not a keeper).
I'm not sure it's built for frequent travelers who carry the noise canceling headphone to the plane frequently. With the plastic construction, it will break in your backpack or computer bag, quickly.

Despite the description, there is no "volume control adjustment" on the cable. There is only an "on/off" switch for noise cancellation, which doesn't work. When the noise cancelation is on, it sounds the same as when it's off.
These headphones are extremely comfortable, which is definitely the best feature.
They're not nearly loud enough, and the sound quality isn't impressive at all. My previous cheap $8 pair of headphones were much louder, and sounded better.

This head set is wonderful and cancels out most noise. The music sounds great and the headset is comfy. The only problem I had was the R for Right ear and L for Left ear were on the wrong sides, but you just flip it around and it works wonderfully.
